'Reminiscent of Harold Budd, Christian Fennesz and Ryuichi Sakamoto’s minimalist work Unlocked presents glitch piano ambience as a series of responses to the altered landscapes in lockdown. In a time where we are unhooked from expected futures, assumed paths and former values, the album explores how locking down can also be a process of unlocking.

The album was constructed from improvisations, mistakes and a loosening of creative habits, with the piano being the common thread through the tracks. The piano is sometimes a response to an electronic soundscape, sometimes the soundscape emerged through a sonic ghosting of the piano. But the experiments are not an end in themselves, as the tracks also attempt to communicate the unexpected temporal and emotional landscape of new lives and new ways of thinking encountered at the beginning of the third decade of the 21st century.'
